Health, Dental and Vision Benefits
HigherGround offers an HMO and PPO medical plan through Blue Shield, Dental and Vision insurance through Guardian and Aflac Supplemental Insurance. Regular full time employees are eligible for these benefits on the 1st of the month following 30 days of service.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
HigherGround offers each employee the opportunity to set aside funds from each paycheck BEFORE taxes to pay for unreimbursed health care expenses for themselves and their dependents.
HigherGround provides all regular full-time employees with short and long term disability insurance. Employees are eligible for this on the first of the month following 30 days of service.
HigherGround provides a 401(k) plan for regular, full time employees in order to assist in planning for their retirement. Regular full-time employees are eligible for enrollment upon the completion of three consecutive full calendar months of employment.

Funeral or Bereavement Leave
An employee may take up to three consecutive workdays off with pay following the death of the employee’s current spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, step-child, sister or brother.
HigherGround provides full time employees with paid time off (PTO) from work. PTO begins to accrue upon commencing employment. PTO may be taken for any reason, including vacation time or for any personal purpose at the employee’s discretion.
Paid Sick Leave
Regular full-time employees will receive twenty-four (24) hours or three (3) days of paid sick leave each year. Employees may begin to use paid sick leave beginning on the ninetieth (90th) day of employment.
